Hands down, Volkswagen CC Sport is the best in its class, and we’re talking about best in every aspect. For argument’s sake, let’s compare it to Passat. The Passat starts at $28,300 while the CC starts only at $27,100. Plus, CC gets better gas mileage because of the improved aerodynamics and it weighs 44 pounds less. The interior’s better, too. It features two-tone, pleated leather seats and an exceptionally spacious cabin.

2010 Toyota 4Runner To Get Four-Cylinder Model

It is now confirmed that the 2010 Toyota 4Runner will get both a four-cylinder model and an optional third row for added utility. Definite figures are not released but given that its horsepower is quoted as 161, we assume it’s the company’s 2.4-liter power plant. The V6 model, on the other hand, will get 268 horsepower, most likely supplied by the 3.5-liter engine seen in the Camry sedan.

The 2010 4Runner will be available in three model levels: SR5, Trail, and Limited, with the I-4 model only being available in SR5 form.

Months ago, Mercedes-Benz announced its plans to begin small-scale series production of a new hydrogen fuel cell-powered vehicle called the F-Cell. According to the German automaker, the car is almost ready to launch. There are 200 automobiles to be leased all over United States and Europe early next year.

Based on Mercedes-Benz’ B-Class, the front-wheel drive F-Cell uses a 100 kW electric motor that emits an impressive 214 lb-ft of torque. M-B says this powertrain will offer similar performance to a 2.0-liter gas-powered vehicle while returning the equivalent of 86.6 mpg on the European combined cycle.

It comes with a 1.4 kWh lithium ion battery that recaptures energy usually lost to braking.…

Hyundai Tucson ix was officially unveiled in Korea. With this start, the auto-maker is aiming to set the trend for the segment and regain sales leadership in the small SUV market.

General Motors showed a concept version of the Converj last January at the Detroit auto show. We know that the production has been put on hold  because some members of management and the U.S. Treasury Dept.’s auto task force say it is such an expensive model for a company enduring bankruptcy. No doubt that appearance plays a big factor in marketing strategies and it seems that Hyundai understands that very well. Look at the creative styling they put in Genesis Coupe. Now the question is, does it perform well?

Suzuki claims that the new SX4 SportBack is designed for the city. So what’s in it that urban people would love? According to Suzuki’s press release, under the hood is an all new 16-valve, 2.0-liter four-cylinder that achieves 150 horsepower (at 6,200 rpm) and 140 pound-feet of torque (at 3,500 rpm). Going back a few months, there was a report that Volkswagen Chairman Ferdinand Piech was interested in acquiring a small stake in Suzuki. Later then, Osamu Suzuki, chief executive of the automaker that carries his name, denied the rumors. But was it really a rumor? Maybe not.
