The Prince of Wales has had the aluminum pistons from his Aston Martin DB6 Volante melted down and turned into cufflinks. Weird, eh? While this sounds crazy, the six donor pistons became available when the Prince converted the car to run on biofuel.

A total of 200 cufflinks were made by TMB ArtMetal, and they were designed to bear a resemblance to the DB6 and the car’s iconic wheel ‘spinners’. The cufflinks are accented with 18ct gold. The cufflinks will be available for £995 and all proceeds will go to the Prince’s youth charity - The Prince’s Trust.

According to The Prince’s Trust chief executive Martina Milburn, “With these proceeds, we will…

What is it, really, that makes Aston Martin One-77 that expensive? At first glance, it is just like any other good-looking cars. Then, we checked out what’s under the hood and it’s like seeing a big celebrity: we’re star-struck. Definitely worth someone’s £1.25 million.

This beauty features an F1-style engine which is entirely covered in gold foil. And for your information, it is real gold we’re talking about here. It also comes with inboard push-rod activated dampers which significantly reduce the weight and do adjustments for compression. Then there are the intake manifolds and valve covers made from carbon fiber.

Well actually, every single component is built from carbon fiber, including the…

This is what we are really waiting for.  Yes, we’ve seen the Aston Martin Rapide several times, but just like meeting a person for the first time, we have never been properly introduced.

Go ahead and scan the photos all you want but nonetheless, we will provide details to delight.  To start off, the Rapide will feature four seats which will be separated by a massive center console that runs from the dash to the trunk.  Exceptional touches include a dual screen rear entertainment system, individual climate and audio controls for the rear passengers (possibly through an iDrive-like system), and a collapsible bulkhead that offers added cargo capacity.

The Rapide will be…

The 2008 Aston Martin DBS really does speak for itself. It’s hard to think of anything to say that would pay due respect to this princely ride. We didn’t want to cloud it over with kitsch, but here we go anyway: This car is so exceedingly fly that it makes all those “normal” cars look about as grown-up as  tricycles.

The 2008 Aston Martin DBS sits low and wide to deliver a sumptuous road-gobbling driving experience. It’s got a 6.0 liter V-12 engine that puts out 510 horsepower, and it can do the 0 to 60 in 4.3 seconds and max out over 190 miles per hour. If you’re actually rich…
