
Audi will try to make its R8 Spyder range more obtainable by offering it with a new powertrain. Joining the standard 5.2 liter V10 is the 4.2 liter V8 engine. The latter will offer a lower price for the convertible model. Like its fixed-roof counterpart, the R8 Spyder 4.2 FSI will be producing 420 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque with its new engine. Customers will be able to choose between Audi’s R tronic semi-automatic and a conventional six-speed manual.
