French automaker Citroen and UK’s market-leading quality men’s monthly GQ paired up to come up with a new plug-in hybrid, the GQbyCitroen. The GQbyCitroen was built with the goal of being streamlined but without being overly aggressive.

“Where this car works so well with GQ is that it fits with the current attitudes of conspicuous consumption,” said Citroen designer Mark Lloyd in a press release. “It is understated rather than in-your-face and sleek rather than too macho.”

The car utilizes a four-cylinder direct-injection 1.6-liter petrol engine that enables the vehicle to accelerate from zero to 60mph in about 4.5 seconds. As a hybrid, emissions were kept to 80 grams of CO2 per…

After the introduction of the REVOLTE concept last 2008, Citroen now launched the SURVOLT concept at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show. The French auto maker describes the SURVOLT as a combination of “high-fashion, extravagance and more than a hint of motor racing punch.”

Following the steps of the REVOLTE concept, the SURVOLT puts an added emphasis on sportiness. At just 3.85 meters long, the SURVOLT qualifies as a supermini, but delivers high style with a unique fuchsia and charcoal two-tone paint job, a rounded body and over-the-top wheel arches.

At the front, the SURVOLT has LED headlight clusters, as well as a unique grille treatment. The SURVOLT carries over the light “eyebrows”…

Citroen has taken the wraps off its latest concept—the DS High Rider Concept. The High Rider will be the second Citroen concept that will carry the automaker’s DS badge.

Although Citroen refers to the DS High Rider Concept as a four-seat coupe, the show car looks more like a cross between a shooting brake and a conventional three-door hatch. The DS High Rider also has a more muscular and compact stance that your typical two-door coupe.

The interior of the DS High Rider is made to be light and airy with a windscreen that “soars over the heads of front occupants”. However, Citroen failed to release any images of the car’s interior.…

A new teaser image of the Citroen DS4 has been recently released. With a black honeycomb backdrop, the car is depicted as three-door model.

The Citroen DS4 is based on the French car manufacturer’s C-SportLounge concept, as can be seen in the headlight design. The bumper and grille combine for a look that will be characteristic of the modern DS lineup. The chrome detailing was also featured in a characteristic way on the concept, like the new teaser suggests.

Citroen will unveil the Citroen DS4 concept at the Geneva Motor Show next month. The concept model will be named as DS High Rider. There are also rumors spreading around that a production…

Images of the upcoming Citroen DS3-R have surfaced before the vehicle’s official debut. The car is scheduled to be launched at the Geneva Motor Show next month.

In photos apparently taken at Citroen HQ, and later posted to several Peugeot forum sites, we get a clear look at the upcoming competitor to the Mitsubishi Lancer and Subaru Impreza.  The black-and-orange hot hatch is expected to be the street-legal version of Citroen’s next rally car when the C4 is retired from racing after the 2010 WRC season.

The photos show that the car is almost production-ready, sporting a black honeycomb grille ringed in orange and chrome detailing on the mirrors and door handles.…

Citroen sticks to the original plan. The Citroen DS3, which is about to be unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show, can be individualized by selecting different roof and body colors, exterior mirrors and wheels.

To highlight the principal character of the DS3, the French auto-maker will be offering several personalization themes for exterior and interior styling based on lifestyles and trends. The following seven offers will be proposed, with the first four available on launch: Maori, Zebra, Wave, Daisy, Co-Design, Map, and Plane.

The petrol engines are expected to have power outputs of 71kW (95bhp), 89kW (120bhp) and 112kW (150bhp). The two diesel motors will put out 90bhp and 110bhp respectively, with…

The Citroen DS3 Concept may have been set up for public viewing during the Geneva Motor Show but it barely caught the attention of the public what with the sad state of its display. The French company may have had their reasons for displaying the auto that way because now they are actually over the top in displaying photos and videos of the concept as a teaser for the launch of the production model.

Think of the proliferating small cars all over the place and then think of a small car with premium features. That’s what the Citroen DS3 Concept is all about—leather surfaces on the inside and an attractive shell on…
