Amazing cars are few and far between but the 2009 GMC Yukon Hybrid has managed to make the cut. At a price tag of $50,920 this Hybrid has a jaw-dropping fuel economy rating of 21 miles per gallon.

This is amazing considering that the Yukon is a full-sized SUV. Fuel efficiency records aside, you will also fall in love with the eight-seating capacity and handsome cabin of the Yukon Hybrid. A big dent in its reputation though is the third row seat which is too heavy but requires removal so you can open up the cargo hold—such an inconvenient thing really.

While there are no significant changes in this year’s GMC Yukon…

The 2009 GMC Envoy may have been modified but has largely remained unchanged from the previous version. It still has that traditional truck design that’s commonly seen in the Saab 9-7X SLE and the Chevrolet Trailblazer.

The Envoy is a five-passenger SUV with an option for a 4.2-Liter 6 cylinder engine with 285 horsepower or a 5.3-Liter V8 engine with 300 horsepower. The GMC Envoys, all of them actually, have a 4-speed automatic transmission but you also have an option to get the rear-wheel drive or the 4-wheel drive that’s great for off-roading due to the low-range gear.

The 2009 GMC Envoy may look like a tough one but it is still outfitted…

For those of you shopping around for an SUV this season, consider the 2008 GMC Acadia, but not if you’re looking to stay small and spend thriftily on gas. The Acadia is categorized as a crossover by technical design standards, but it hulks on the road and appears chunky from the outside.

Under the hood, the 2008 GMC Acadia shows off a powerful V-6 that’ll get 275 horsepower and will perform will with its six-speed automatic transmission. Unfortunately, it’ll only get 24 mpg on the highway and 17 in the city at best, and even that might be a little hopeful. Compared to full-size, older SUVs, however, it can be considered reasonable,…
