According to InsideLine, Mazda may be able to introduce the new two-seater Mazda RX-7 by the end of 2011. But with the probable launch of the RX-7, the four-seater RX-8 may be cancelled. The next-generation RX-8 would have been based from the Furai concept and carry over 300 horsepower.

The reason for this is due to the fact that by the end of the first quarter of 2009, RX-8 sales had plummeted 47.5% compared to a year earlier.  Sluggish RX-8 sales may prompt the decision to halt the model for the time being.  The new RX-7 will use the new-generation Renesis 16X rotary engine which debuted in the Taiki concept.  This…

The Norwegian market got a taste of the imported Mazda RX8 Hydrogen RE straight from Japan last October but it was only last April when the left-hand drive Norwegian-spec auto was delivered to Norway complete with a manual transmission. The auto is a significant part of the HyNor national hydrogen project which will be highlighted by the opening of the hydrogen refueling stations this month.

Norwegian Minister of Transportation Liv Signe Navarsete has recently unveiled two new hydrogen filling stations between Oslo and Stavanger. To highlight the opening the non-CO2 releasing Mazda RX8 Hydrogen RE was used in travelling between Oslo and Drammen stations.

The Mazda RX8 Hydrogen RE is however a dual-fuel…

If you’re among those who have purchased the newly-launched 2010 Mazda3 then better hurry and get it back to your dealer as soon as possible. A total of 25,400 2010 Mazda3 units have been recalled by the manufacturer due to a defective wiring harness design that can lead to a short circuit in the car’s system.

Apparently there is an insufficient clearance between the starter motor housing and the engine wiring harness which can result to the vibration of the wiring harness. A short circuit caused by the rubbing of the wiring harness against the starter motor can result to the stalling of the vehicle and you may not be able…

Oneness between the driver and his car is perfectly summarized in the Japanese phrase “Jinba-Ittai”. This is the same motto that Mazda seeks to achieve with its cars the latest of which is the 2009 Mazda MX-5. The MX-5, which has a price tag of $21,750, may not be as stylishly powerful as the roadster twins of General Motors but it remains unequaled in terms of providing overall driving enjoyment.

Aside from the low base price the 2009 Mazda MX-5 has the huge fun factor that manages to attract the crowd. This year’s model has undergone a mild facelift which is evident with the new headlights, taillights and more aggressive grille.…

Check out the 2009 Mazda RX-8 if you’re hungry for a really well-designed sports car that, five years after its inception, still is among the most stylish coupes on the market. Although the 2009 model bears only minor adjustments to its chassis, the thoughtful aggressiveness in its aesthetic presentation is more pronounced than ever. Bottom line: We love its snazzy curves, and chances are, you will too.

Under the hood, the 2009 Mazda R-8 is powered by a compact 1.3 liter twin-rotor engine that’ll put out an impressive 232 horsepower if it’s coupled to the six speed standard transmission. Unfortunately, that horsepower drops to 212 if the car is utilizing the six-speed…

The 2009 Mazda Mazda6 looks sharp and refined. We feel that it appeals to fans of the series in every way, and then some. The Mazda6 is a great car for drivability and performance, and handles like a car somewhat smaller. It’s a nice four-door sedan, good for families and excursions. It’s really roomy enough to pack a party into the backseat.

Looking under the hood, we see a four-cylinder with 2.5 liters and 170 horsepower. There’s also an option to use a 3.7 liter V-6 engine that gets a pretty impressive 272 horsepower. In either case, the engines are smooth and zippy. We’re sure that this Mazda 6 car will pretty…
