Shelby and Ford Motor Company’s partnership has resulted in some of the most iconic sports cars ever produced. Shelby and Ford’s latest creation and tribute to original GT350 that was first produced for the public in 1966—the 2011 GT350—is set to go for auction to the general public in the first week of April.

Collectors around the world have long placed added value in unique production numbers, and it will likely be no different with the 2011 Shelby GT350 Mustang as the automaker has announced that it will be auctioning the 2011 Shelby GT350 wearing serial number 350.

Ford has just unveiled its revised 2011 Mustang V6 and GT models but has withheld the pricing details of both vehicles. Fortunately, a leaked document reveals how much the new Mustang models will cost.

According to the leaked document, the base 2011 Mustang V6 coupe model will roll into Ford showrooms tagged $22,995, with the destination charge of $850 already included. It may cost $750 more than the outgoing model, but the new Mustang V6 is producing 95 more horsepower and an extra forward gear.

The Mustang V6 convertible meanwhile is priced at $27,995. The Premium package can be added to both cars for an additional $3,700.

Ford unveils its 2011 Mustang BOSS 302R. The car, designed to honor the 40th anniversary of Parnelli Jones’ 1970 Trans-Am championship in a Mustang BOSS 302, is a track-only race car for the Grand-Am, SCCA and NASA events.

The BOSS 302R will feature a 5.0Liter V8 with 412 horsepower and 390 pound feet of torque. The engine will be backed up by a six-speed manual transmission. The race car will also feature a roll cage, race seats safety harnesses, racing springs and dampers, a data acquisition unit and Brembo brakes.

For the 2010 model of the Mustang, Ford has largely ignored the cars engine bay. However that will probably change for the 2011 model with details of the new powertrain hitting the web.

Try to recall 2005 Mustang.  Bad reviews have been thrown out regarding the car’s interior, specifically the cheap materials and hard plastics used.  Well then, Ford has produced a better pony this time and around mid-December, you’ll get to be in control of it.

The plastic surfaces on the dash are really smooth and very pleasing to the eyes whilst the border across the dashboard is aluminum rather than buffed-looking plastic.
