RUF has just revealed the next-generation RGT, the RGT-8.

The RUF RGT-8, which is based on the current Porsche 997, is powered by a completely new RUF designed V8 engine with a 180° crankshaft called the “Flatcrank”. It also features four valves arranged spherically together with multipoint fuel injection which ensures optimal mixture conditions while the dry-sump system supplies the necessary lubrication. Its V8 engine boasts a 4.5 liter capacity and power of 404 kW (542 horsepower/ 549 PS) and 500 Nm (397 lb-ft) of torque.

It was only last October that Lumma Design announced a comprehensive tuning package for the Porsche Panamera was in development. And now, Lumma will finally debut their creation at the 2010 Geneva Motor Show.

Covered with a heavy dose of carbon fiber and Kevlar, the GT from Zuffenhausen is equipped with a full wide body aero kit consisting of a front bumper fascia with integrated LED wings, upper and lower fender extensions, two-tone side skirts, rear door wheel-house extensions, quarter panel extensions, rear lid spoiler with aluminum mounting arms and rear bumper fascia with rear diffuser all made of carbon fiber.

Porsche’s 2012 Boxster has been spotted meandering in the snowy northern Europe. The latest Boxster is seen to with a new body and its new LED daytime lights.

The Boxster prototype also appears lower and wider than the current generation.  The front bumper seems to extend closer to the ground, and tape could be covering up changes in the side panels and sills.  Thus far, the car has mainly been spied with a cloth roof.  Perforated brake disks, already available on the current model, can also be seen in the vehicle.

Porsche is set to debut the 2011 Porsche Cayenne in just a few days at the Geneva Motor Show. But it seems that they just cannot contain their excitement over the new SUV as they have briefly posted an image of it at their website.

Outside, the new Cayenne follows in Porsche’s philosophy of evolutionary design, but as can be seen from the leaked image – it’s apparent that the new model shows a much sleeker appearance than the current Cayenne. Swiss luxury auto tuners Mansory have just finished a new upgrade package for the Porsche 997 Carrera Turbo.

The car will feature a new front skirt, and carbon fiber lip and splitter. Sidesills are not mentioned by the firm, but appear to be congruent with the modified design.  They lead back to a completely redone back end that combines a new exhaust and added air outlets.  A remodeled rear spoiler rests on the decklid, and is made from carbon fiber. Mansory also included a handcrafted interior with upgrades to the stock materials used by Porsche. Both the carbon fiber exterior and the leather interior can be customized.

TechArt has come up with the photos of their new individualization program for the Porsche Panamera.

As seen at the recently concluded Frankfurt Motor Show, the TechArt Panamera features a subtle body kit (dubbed Aerokit I) with revised fascias, a new front spoiler, a rear diffuser, and a stainless steel four tailpipe exhaust system. A fixed rear wing has also been added, as well as aggressive side sills, and 21-inch Formula (or 22-inch Formula II) light-alloy wheels.

After modifying the Porsche GT2, German tuners TechArt did not have it in their minds that their creation would end up breaking the Sachsenring lap record set last year.

The TechArt GT Street RS finished the 3,671 meter circuit in 1:31.94, embarrassing the previous record-holding Lamborghini Murcielago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce, which finished

the same lap in 1:36.29.

The TechArt GT Street RS which is powered with 690 horsepower and up to 634 pound feet of torque shows improvements over the 997 GT2 by 160 horsepower and torque of nearly 130 pound feet.

A Porsche executive has divulged that the German automaker is considering of coming out with a low emissions Boxster with a three-cylinder engine.

Rumors of a more fuel-efficient Boxster have been swirling for over a year now, but previous reports suggest that the new Boxster model would be fitted with a four-cylinder engine based on the car’s current six-cylinder engine. However, Hans-Jurgen Wohler, Boxster model line director, told the Autocar that a three-cylinder engine hasn’t been ruled out.

At a recent ATP automotive testing circuit in Papenburg, Germany, a tuned Porsche 911 dubbed as the TR 1000 hit a top speed of 391.7 km/h (243.3 mph). The top speed was recorded to be the highest ever making the TR 1000 the fastest Porsche 911.

Porsche has chosen Walter Röhrl to compete at the 2010 Nürburgring 24 hour race.

The 62-year-old test driver will be driving a brand new Porsche 911 GT3 RS, which runs with a 3.8-liter six-cylinder boxer engine with 450 hp and 317 lb-ft of torque. Backed up by a short-throw six-speed manual transmission, the car accelerates from 0-60 mph in 3.8 seconds, before hitting a top speed in excess of 193 mph (311 km/h).

Wimmer RS car tuner has introduces its latest power package—the GT2 Speed. The name speaks for itself as the two Wimmer turbochargers along with the retrofitted engine produces 827 horsepower at 7400rpm and 948 Nm of torque. Without any much effort, the GT2 Speed can disappear in a blink of an eye.
