A special edition Impreza STI will be introduced by Subaru and Cosworth. The collaboration will go on sale in June.

This newly announced collaboration between legendary Cosworth and Subaru has provided one of the fastest accelerating hatchbacks ever created. The Cosworth Impreza STI CS400 will boast 395 horsepower and a 0-t0-62 sprint of just 3.7 seconds.

Although Subaru and Cosworth have not yet fully revealed the details of the special edition STI CS400, it can be surmised that the Cosworth Edition will be more impressive than the standard Impreza WRX STI with 296 horsepower and a 0-to-62 time of 5.2 seconds. Six-pot calipers and front 355 mm discs that are developed with AP Racing are also installed in the car to help keep the extra power in check.

A modified exhaust and suspension will also be installed in the STI CS400 which will only be available in an extremely limited run of 75 units.

German tuners Startech is planning on a new kit for the Jaguar XJ sedan. The package will include modifications to the car’s aerodynamics, a lowered ride height, 21-inch forged wheels, and a redesigned interior.

The Startech Jaguar XJ will also feature a new front end that is attached on the OEM bumper. Larger air ducts will also be included in the kit, as well as LED daytime runners.  Front fenders and rocker panels that will lead back to the car’s rear will also be forged in. A new apron, tailpipes, and diffuser will be found at the rear. A decklid spoiler will also be mounted to the car.

The suspension will be lowered by 30 millimeters. This will let the car sit snuggly on 9.5×21-inch front, 11×21-inch rear mirror-polished wheels. Leather and Alcantara to off-set the wood trim will be used inside. Trim can be made from either brown mahogany, like that of an Italian sports boat, or blond ash wood. Both can be chosen in a gloss or matte finish.

Audi is planning to showcase 25 production and two show cars at the 2010 AMI Leipzig which will start on April 9th. The German auto show will also host to a number of home soil debuts for the Audi brand, including the new A1 premium mini car, A8 and RS 5 Coupe.

Included in 25 exhibits are the facelift TT Coupe and Roadster. The two are making their world premier at Leipzig nearly four years since the current 2007 model appeared. Whether a facelift TT RS will make it to the show has not yet been confirmed.

Other models lined up for an appearance in the show include the Detroit e-tron show car and the car that won the 2009 DTM (German Touring Car Masters) in the hands of Timo Scheider, who will also be present during the press conference and sign autographs for an hour on the 10th.

A teaser image of the 2011 WRX STI has been recently released. The release pre-empts the vehicle’s official unveiling at the New York Auto Show.

Subaru still though is withholding precious information about the vehicle. But the event has been publicized as “The wing is back!” More importantly, the image seems to suggest the STI could be offered in sedan form, since the current STI is only available as a hatchback.

A closer analysis of the photo by the Australian based The Motor Report shows that the vehicle could be either a hatch or a sedan. However, the sedan seems to match closely up with the teaser image. When they tried inserting a WRX hatchback into the image, the body contours matched very closely, but the wing didn’t match the contours of the sheet.

The WRX STI will debut along with the facelifted 2011 Subaru Impreza WRX.

After making its European debut at the Geneva Motor Show, Nissan now drives the 2011 Juke at the New York International Auto Show. It also marks the North American debut of the vehicle.

Inspired by the Qazana show car exhibited at last year’s Geneva show, the Juke will go on sale this fall in both Europe and the United States as a 2011 model.

The Juke will run with a 1.6-liter inline-four, direct-injection turbocharged gasoline engine that produces over 180 horsepower and 170 lb-ft of torque. The engine will be mated to a Xtronic CVT with S-Mode or a six-speed manual transmission. The Juke comes in either front-wheel drive, or all-wheel drive combined with a torque vectoring system that provides a 50:50 front, rear split.

The Juke places in between Nissan’s Note and Qashqai models in its European showrooms, and below the Murano and Rogue in the North American market. Nissan says the Juke is a blend of a sporty sedan and an SUV, creating what they refer to as a sport cross.

Sportec, known Swiss tuners, announces a new set of upgrades for the Porsche Panamera.

The Sportec Panamera SP560 uses modifications to the biturbo V8 engine to produce 552 horsepower (412 kW / 560 PS) and up to 790 Nm (582 lb-ft) of torque. Changes to the car allow for a 0-100 km/h time of 3.8 seconds, with a top speed of 315 km/h (196 mph).

An ESC control unit has also been installed which lowers the car’s with air suspension, and is fully adjustable. Also included in the kit are 22×9-inch front, 22×10.5-inch rear light alloy wheels wrapped in Continental tires. Six-piston calliper front, four-piston calliper rear brakes are used with ventilated discs all around. An overhaul of the exhaust system is also available as an option. This uses stainless steel, and baffles to let the driver change the sound on the fly.

Sported has also announced that further aerodynamic changes, and further power upgrades, will be available at a later date.

Infiniti’s QX56 SUV debuts at the New York Auto Show. This Nissan Patrol-based SUV is set to compete with Lexus’ LX 570 and the Range Rover.

The QX56 is powered by a V8 engine – at least for U.S. consumers. The outgoing QX features a 320 horsepower 5.6-liter V8, and the latest QX will likely receive the same engine with little to no changes.

Up front and center is the bold Infiniti grille which is flanked by more stylized headlights evocative of the recently unveiled Infiniti M sedan. A new bumper is also integrated, as well as new fender vents just behind of the front wheels. The rear of the QX has also been heavily reworked, featuring a design that is slightly reminiscent of the Lexus LX. However, a sharp uptick in the QX’s belt line gives it a unique look.

Inside, Infiniti’s latest switchgear appears to be present, as well as high-grade leather wrapping on the doors, dashboard and the seats.

The new QX is expected to appear in dealerships in the second or third quarter of 2010 with a price tag starting in the mid-$50,000.

It has already been 25 years ago when BMW created a new subsidiary to act as a think tank for their vehicle development. Since then, BMW Technik GmbH has been brainstorming concept cars, one of them is the BMW Z1 Coupe design study shown off in 1988.

And Ford followed up that release with a thorough write-up of BMW Technik’s history, as well as a 5m 42s video about the think tank’s functions.

And that led to more success stories and the production versions of the Z1 Roadster, as well as the BMW Z3 and Z4. The group also conducted research on the BMW 1-series fuel-cell hybrid, and the 2001 BMW Z29 concept. The Z29 was capable of sprinting from 0-100 km/h in 4.4 seconds, with a weight-to-power ratio of 3.4 kg/hp.

With the reportedly overwhelming interest to the Ford Focus RS500, the automaker has decided to release the car ahead of its schedule.

The limited series hatchback will feature a retuned 2.5-liter five-cylinder engine. The engine produces 345 horsepower (257 kW, 350 PS) and up to 460 Nm (339 lb-ft) of torque. That’s a 15% power increase, and a 4.5% torque increase. With all that power, Ford has managed to improve the car’s 0-100km/h sprint time to 5.6 seconds, down 0.3 seconds from the Focus RS.

Top speed is also slightly faster at 265 km/h (165 mph). The improvements are due to a software update to the ECU, larger air intercooler, bigger air filter, better fuel pump, and a widened downpipe.

Each Focus RS500 unit will be painted in matte black, and ride on blacked-out 19-inch alloys. Red brake calipers can be seen behind the wheel. Inside, driver and passenger will notice a console-mounted metal plate engraved with the car’s ID number, as well as Recaro seats, dual-zone climate control, Bluetooth, a six-disc Sony audio system, and more.

The special edition will be limited to 500 vehicles, and will be produced as a way of closing out the current generation of the Focus RS. Ford will sell the Ford Focus RS500 in 20 European markets beginning in May. The car will get its official debut on April 9 in Leipzig, Germany.

This coming 24 Le Mans in June, expect to see a new car, the Panoz Abruzzi. The sportscar will be Panoz Auto Development’s first completely new model since the original Esperante launched in 2000.

And since the Abruzzi has been rumored for years, many will still be skeptical if the reports are true. Furthermore, Panoz Auto Development’s next project was believed to be either a GT1 or a GT2 that is also expected to compete with the Chevy Corvette.

But the small American automaker will push thru with the Abruzzi. Stories have already circulated that a street-legal version of the car would cost less than $150,000, meaning it could possibly compete with the $106k Corvette ZR1.

Also during the 12 Hours of Sebring last weekend, co-founder of Panoz Auto Development Don Panoz had already confirmed the Abruzzi’s upcoming appearance. Expect more details though about the sportscar before it makes its racing debut.

GiegerCars has unveiled its Hummer H2 Bomber. The launch of the car was not affected despite the fact that the Hummer brand had already ceased operations.

The H2 Bomber is powered by a 6.2-liter V8 engine with 398 bhp (297 kW / 404 PS) and 574 Nm (423 lb-ft) of torque. But another power source option, an LPG Autogas system with a 155 liter fuel tank, is also available.

The H2 Bomber, which is designed to be the ultimate off-road vehicle, features Mattracks 88M1-A1 rubber tracks (8.5″ x 20″ wheels with 305/60 tires are standard). Measuring 150cm (59.1″) long and 40cm (15.7″) wide, On the other hand, the wide tracks that measure 150cm (59.1″) long and 40cm (15.7″) wide, “guarantee unrivalled traction on virtually any type of terrain, whether the vehicle is needed for agriculture, emergency services or expedition.”

Along with the tracks, the H2 Bombe also has a matte silver paint job highlighted with Air Force themed lettering. A roof box with Hella lights has also been installed in the behemoth vehicle. Inside, Geiger installed a sunroof, a Kenwood navigation system, and a rear seat entertainment system.

The Audi S5 V8 FSI gets more power and a new body kit thanks to Senner Tuning AG.

The German tuner, which named the kit White Beast, gave the vehicle aerodynamic improvements thru a large air inlet on the new front spoiler, new front grille, a rear spoiler lip and a rear carbon-look apron.

The 4.2 V8 White Beast gets a slight power boost from the standard’s 260 kW (349 bhp / 354 PS) up to 282 kW (378 bhp / 384 PS) and 475 Nm with the addition of a performance air filter and exhaust system. The top speed has increased as well to 285 km/h.

The Audi S5 White Beast appears lower as well with its suspension lowered by 40mm at the front and 35mm at the rear. It rides on 9 x 21 inches and 10.5 x 21inches front and rear polished light alloy diamond black wheels which are clad in 255/30 R21 and 295/25 R21 Hankook S1 Evo tires. Meanwhile, carbon fiber details inside emphasize the car’s performance abilities.

Senner charges €18,990 (US$25,338) for the package, including technical inspection costs.
