The 2009 GMC Envoy may have been modified but has largely remained unchanged from the previous version. It still has that traditional truck design that’s commonly seen in the Saab 9-7X SLE and the Chevrolet Trailblazer.
The Envoy is a five-passenger SUV with an option for a 4.2-Liter 6 cylinder engine with 285 horsepower or a 5.3-Liter V8 engine with 300 horsepower. The GMC Envoys, all of them actually, have a 4-speed automatic transmission but you also have an option to get the rear-wheel drive or the 4-wheel drive that’s great for off-roading due to the low-range gear.
The 2009 GMC Envoy may look like a tough one but it is still outfitted with safety features including traction control, curtain side airbags, antiskid system and ABS. The 2009 model is great for those who are always on the go but who would like to maintain communication with friends or business partners thanks the wireless cellphone link feature. It also has Bluetooth and top notch car sound system.
With a spacious interior coupled with the capacity to function efficiently in a rugged terrain, the 2009 GMC Envoy is indeed an ideal SUC choice. Bad news is, the Envoy will be discontinued by 2010 so get yours now and be among the few humans who can proudly say “I got an Envoy!” a few years from now.
