Since its 2009 New York Auto Show debut, Kia has finally released the prices for its 2010 Forte Koup. The prices will start at $16,595 for a manually equipped EX mode, if you want the optional automatic gear box you have to shell out $17,595. The higher level SX model will retail from $17,695, with an addition of an automatic gearbox adding another $1000 to the price. And that still does not include the $695 destination charge.
The 2010 Forte Koup will hit the US market this summer and will come in two versions the base EX and up-level SX. The Ex will have 16 inch wheels and a 2.0-liter four-cylinder producing 156 horsepower and 144 lb-ft of torque. The optional SX trim will add 17 inch wheels, a sportier suspension and a more powerful 2.4L engine, making 173 horsepower and 168 lb-ft of torque.
You can get the EX model with a five speed manual or a four speed automatic, while the SX will have a six speed manual and a five speed automatic transmission. The Koup EX achieves 25/34 mpg city/highway (no matter the transmission) with the SX posting figures of 22/32 mpg with the six-speed and 23/31 with the automatic gearbox.
