For you off-road enthusiasts, get a quick look at the 2008 Land Rover LR3, one of the raddest, most baddest, most versatile 4×4 road cruisers we’ve seen in this season’s round-up. As always, the LR3 looks proud and pretty on the outside, but on the inside, it’s got the guts of a workhorse.
Under the hood, the 2008 Land Rover LR3 is powered by a 4.4 liter V-8 engine that’ll squeeze out 300 horses with its six-speed automatic transmission. Unfortunately, all that power sacrifices some of the fuel efficiency, and it’ll only find its way to 17 mpg on the freeway, and as low as 12 mpg in town. Even with its terrific suspension, forceful accelerator, and mean, precision point-turning, the thing still has to be called out for what it is: a gasaholic. Look for the 2008 Land Rover LR3 at dealerships for between $48,525 and $54,025.
