The Lexus IS F CCS (Circuit Club Sport) concept car has been unveiled at the Tokyo Auto Salon this past weekend.
Painted in bright orange and black, the IS F CCS can be said to be the most carbon fiber-packed car ever. Most of the IS F CCS’s body has been reinforced with carbon fiber, including the roof, rear wing and diffuser, front spoiler lip, the hood as well as the side mirrors. Carbon fiber also found its way inside the car as the center and lower consoles are made out of it, as well as the gear stick, steering wheel trim and door panels. Two-toned bucket seats also are fitted inside.
With the help of the carbon fiber parts, the weight of the Lexus car has been reduced, boosting the performance of its 5.0 liter V8 engine to 423 horsepower. Performance of the IS F CCS can be further enhanced with the forged magnesium wheels that are clad in performance tires, carbon brake disks, sports suspension and a sport exhaust system with a titanium muffler.
Lexus have yet to announce though their plans for the IS F CCS concept car despite the release of its impressive details.
