2011 Mini Speedster

The Mini has been making the rounds lately and the latest speculation about the Mini is the 2011 Mini Speedster which has not really been seen in both paper and moreso in the flesh forcing rumor mongers to do some renderings of their interpretation of the Speedster from Mini. The 153KW Speedster is eyeing to compete with the Mazda MX-5 .

The 2011 Mini Speedster will be powered by a 1.6-Liter Cooper S engine producing 128KW or you can opt for the John Cooper Works engine producing 153KW. Following the trademark gokart feel of the Mini the Speedster is expected to make use of a six-speed manual box to channel power to the front wheels. It will have a wide front and rear track, lowered suspension and a lighter kerb weight.

Based on the same platform as the Mini Cabrio the Speedster will be produced at a lower cost since it would be able to share components with the current range. The 2011 Mini Speedster is touted to be the most desirable and fastest Mini but for sure, it would be a head turner like its predecessors.
