General Motors is set to unveil a new concept set at the upcoming Geneva Motor show which starts on March 2. And to start the hype about their new concept, the car maker released a teaser for the Opel Vauxhall Flexitreme GTE Concept.
Although nothing much can be said of the new car, the possibility of it being an alternatively-powered vehicle is very high, construing this is the “Voltec” which sticks out from the bumper. Apparently, Voltec is the GM’s electric powertrain used by the Opel/Vauxhall Ampera, also known as the Chevy Volt.
The Flexitreme GTE could also be hot hatch revision of the Opel Flextreme concept from 2007, which also appeared in 2008 as the Saturn Flextreme concept, which featured two lateral glass panes on the roof, and was only able to run 60 km on all-electric power.
The Opel Vauxhall Flexitreme GTE concept is set to appear side-by-side with the new Meriva and the Ampera in Geneva.
