Infiniti’s New 3.0 L V6 Diesel Engine For Europe

Infiniti will introduce their first diesel engine in its Infiniti EX, Infiniti FX, and Infiniti M line. All the models will be available only for European markets for now.

Named the V9X, the 3.0-liter turbocharged common rail engine produces 235 horsepower (175 kW / 238 PS) and up to 550 Nm (406 lb-ft) of torque. The aluminum four-cylinder mill commands the Infiniti EX30d to a hundred kilometers per hour in 7.9 seconds. The FX30d meanwhile can sprints to 100 km/h in 8.3 seconds.

With its diesel powerhouse, the EX swallows up 8.4 liters of fuel per 100km, getting roughly 34.6 mpg. On the other hand, the FX uses 9.0 liters of fuel,…

After leaving over half of its European markets on 2009 due to decreased sales projection, Cadillac is now ready to go back this year to the European market.

When General Motors signed up with Kroymans Corp. to help distribute Cadillac, Hummer and Corvette models in 25 European countries, it had envisioned sales of roughly 7,500 units each year under the Cadillac brand alone. In 2008, Cadillac moved just 4,556 units – which combined with the poor sales of the Hummer and Corvette models, led to the bankruptcy filing by Kroymans in March, 2009.

ENCO’s Own Version Of Audi Q7

German tuners ENCO Exclusive have just finished their own version of the Audi Q7 3.0 TDI. Most noticeable changes made by the firm include an extra large grille, widened wheel arches, and ceramic brakes from the Porsche Cayenne.

The modifications can be purchased separately, but the full package will cost €38,000.  This includes 11×23 blacked-out Jura wheels wrapped in Dunlop SP Sport Maxx tires, and the Audi OEM full body V12 conversion kit, making the car broader.  Audi sport headlights and taillights are installed as well.

The carbon fiber-made ENCO GT bonnet with built-in ventilation slits is covered in a matt black foliation, which gives the Q7 the stealth look.

New sketches of the forthcoming 2011 Magentis four-door coupe have been released. The 2011 Magentis, which bears the US moniker Optima, is set to be officially unveiled at the 2010 New York Auto Show.

The current flagship sedan for the Korean automaker, the Kia Optima, is fairly tame. That is why Kia is replacing its sedan with a much sportier silhouette. The 2011 Kia Optima will then be labeled as a four-door coupe rather than a sedan.

Porsche’s 2012 Boxster has been spotted meandering in the snowy northern Europe. The latest Boxster is seen to with a new body and its new LED daytime lights.

The Boxster prototype also appears lower and wider than the current generation.  The front bumper seems to extend closer to the ground, and tape could be covering up changes in the side panels and sills.  Thus far, the car has mainly been spied with a cloth roof.  Perforated brake disks, already available on the current model, can also be seen in the vehicle.

Jaguar is setting to release a new version of the XK sports car by 2013. The new XK is expected to have a total body revision and an all-new powerplant for those who want more performance with better fuel economy.

A new luxury sedan is scheduled to be unveiled at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show by Bufori Motor Car Company. The vehicle, which is currently going by the codename of Bufori MKVI, has been under development for the past two years.

According to the company, the car will be in the ultra-luxury segment where it will offer buyers cutting-edge technology, comfort and endless personalization options. The racing division of auto brand Chevrolet has officially introduced its newest Corvette C6.R. The racecar, which has been sponsored by Compuware, will be piloted by Johnny O’Connell, Jan Magnussen, and Antonio Garcia, to campaign in the 2010 American Le Mans Series.

The Coevette C6.R is set to compete in the GT class against Porsche, Ferrari, BMW, Jaguar and Ford. The Corvette C6.R will make its racing debut on March 20 at the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring. The Sebring event is the first of the 2010 ALMS season.

Zetsche – best-known to most Americans as Dr. Z from DaimlerChrysler commercials – is Chairman of the Board of Management of Daimler AG and Head of Mercedes-Benz Cars.

Bentley releases new information about their latest Supersports Convertible. The Bentley Continental Supersports Convertible claims that it is the fastest four-seat convertible in the world.

The Bentley Continental Supersports Convertible uses a 630 PS (621 bhp / 463 kW) twin-turbo W12 engine. It also features an on-board fuel monitor measuring the fuel blend in the engine, the car then consistently benefits from up to 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque.  This, paired with the revised Quickshift transmission, helps the car to a 0-100 mph (161 km/h) time of 9.6 seconds.

The Rolls-Royce Ghost sedan has only been on the market since December, and already the BMW-owned luxury brand is considering potential variants of the “entry-level” sedan.

Due to the early success of the Ghost sedan, Rolls-Royce is considering coupe and convertible variants of the smaller sedan, not unlike the Drophead Coupe and Coupe variants of the Phantom sedan. Concept versions of both models are expected in the coming years. Although the Phantom range carries the Phantom nameplate across the entire line, Rolls-Royce head Ian Robertson says the Ghost family may not stick to a single name.
