Porsche’s 2012 Boxster has been spotted meandering in the snowy northern Europe. The latest Boxster is seen to with a new body and its new LED daytime lights.
The Boxster prototype also appears lower and wider than the current generation. The front bumper seems to extend closer to the ground, and tape could be covering up changes in the side panels and sills. Thus far, the car has mainly been spied with a cloth roof. Perforated brake disks, already available on the current model, can also be seen in the vehicle.
Porsche also has been reported that it want to reduce CO2 emissions of their cars down to about 180 g/km. As a result, Porsche is considering a turbocharged three-cylinder engine for the third generation Boxster model.
The Porsche is also aiming to have the 2012 Boxster to weigh less than the current model. But with all the slated changes to be made on the latest Boxster, the most that would count could be to the car’s performance figures. Look for more efficient numbers to come from the next-generation Boxster as well as a 2011 launch.
