Renault Twingo Gordini Renaultsport Revealed

The combination of French blue and white racing stripes and the stylish quilted leather upholstery—that’s the Gordini trademark. But with the soon-to-be unveiled Twingo Gordini Renaultsport, the tuner went beyond than just giving the Twingo its trademark look.

The Twingo Gordini Renaultsport will also feature front and rear bumpers that are enhanced by gloss black centre sections. While the fog lamp surrounds, exterior door mirror housings and rear tailgate spoiler are all highlighted in a contrasting white finish. The exclusive exterior styling is topped off by 17-inch alloy wheels with a choice of the inner rim finished in either blue or black. On the inside, Renaultsport seats in blue and black Gordini-embossed leather upholstery will welcome you. The same color-scheme will be found on the door panel inserts, steering wheel, gearlever gaiter and knob and the dashboard cowl.

The 1.6 Liter naturally aspirated engine was not modified though and remains at 98 kW. But the especially tuned exhaust gives that distinct note under acceleration; once you hear it you’ll know it’s the Twingo Gordini Renaultsport.

The Twingo Gordini Renaultsport will be launched on January 10, 2010 at the Atelier Renault on the Champs-Elysees in Paris.
